Rubber vulcanization process
Rubber-to-metal bonded assemblies are located in a growing number of industrial programs, particularly when it comes to reduced amount of vibration, like within the automotive industry. The so-called “vulcanization bonding process” consist of molding the rubberized onto a metallic area, previously coated with a reactive adhesive system. The vulcanization regarding the plastic together with healing of this glue after that happen at the same time through the molding treatment pattern. These responses tend to be along with multiple diffusion phenomena within interfaces between the various levels. The goal of the current work is to recommend an experimental method for understanding and modelling among these components. The metal/adhesive/rubber reactive user interface is reproduced in a rotational rheometer permitting a rheokinetic characterization regarding the different reactions and diffusion-reaction phenomena happening during process.
